Step 3. I’ve started to layer the blues over the red/oranges for the sky. The blues range from medium-dark blue at the top to a light warm blue at the horizon. I have chosen to use the the reds for the base colour below the horizon as I wanted a darker tone because most of what happens there will be dark. In hindsight, I could have used a darker tone such as a rich deep purple . . . oh well, next time.
