“THE WILD HORSES OF SABLE ISLAND” Show
21 Original Paintings
Due to popular demand “The Wild Horses of Sable Island” will be open Tuesday thru Sunday at Creekside Studio from 1 – 5 p.m. or by appointment through the summer months. (Creekside Studio, 1471 Winchester Rd., Qualicum Beach, BC)
After our initial show on June 18th & 19th, we had so many people calling and asking to see the show that we decided to extend the show dates. It just proves how Sable Island and its wild horses have captured the hearts and imaginations of Canadians everywhere.
Cheers, hope to see you at the Studio!
My Sable Island Adventure . . .
I paint horses. It doesn’t matter what size, shape, breed or colour, they have been an inspiration all of my life. Indeed my whole path as an artist started with my fixation upon horses at a very early age.
Wild horses have always held a place in my heart (how can they not) so imagine how excited I was to have the opportunity to travel to Sable Island in the summer of 2009. I spent 5 glorious days walking among the horses and sand dunes of Sable Island.
Even though my time on Sable Island was short, the experience has moved inside my soul. It is my most sincere desire to share that experience with you . . . I hope you will enjoy the paintings as much as I enjoyed painting them and reliving my time there.
